In 1998 the idea of establishing a group of sugar & biotechnology industry experts to cooperate with Iran’s industries led to the formation of a Joint Venture in 1999. The aforementioned company succeeded in providing technical know-how from Europe to construct the first citric acid factory in Iran and the equipments for Iran’s industry.

After studying capabilities & market conditions, this company changed its objectives & nature and turned into TECHFA Company in 2002. In the early years of the newfound company the focus of its activities were on biotechnology & sugar industries, such as associating with several sugar factory in Iran in order to provide them with technical know-how, equipments & machineries. Also in these years the company’s increasing involvement in packaging led to the establishment of a packaging department within the company. Cooperation with reputable European companies and providing technical consultation services resulted in selling & provision of equipments for several food & petrochemical industries.

The idea of activity in the field of chemical materials required by food industry was brought forth in the beginning of 2006 in TECHFA company and therefore in 2007 this company, in order to expand in this field and in regard with markets of the neighbor countries (Turkey, Syria, Afghanistan and etc), proceeded to register itself in the Kish Island Free Trade Zone. Provision of machineries & chemicals in general, especially machineries for a sugar factory in Turkey & Syria and also in providing machineries and commencing a sugar factory in Afghanistan were among the early outputs of this decision.

In 2008 the TECHFA Company, following the idea of expanding its industrial & commercial services to other countries and supplying international markets proceeded to register a subdivision in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. The concept of cooperation with southeastern Asia countries, especially member of ASEAN union were among the objectives of establishing a subdivision in Malaysia. In 2010 TECHFA company began industrial & technical exchanges with Malaysia & Indonesia.
